New program for Midis touristiques

The second edition of Midis Touristiques is now underway! The SADC of D’Autray-Joliette has unveiled its 2025-2026 webinar program for businesses, operators, and stakeholders in D’Autray’s tourism industry.

Repurposing Old Buildings: An Excellent Lever for Tourist Attraction!

Across Quebec, tourism entrepreneurs are choosing to invest in old buildings to establish their businesses. Former churches, convents, presbyteries, factories, or houses are finding a second life as cafés, boutiques, inns, museums, or other venues. These conversions contribute to the revitalization of village centers and enrich the local tourism offerings. How did these transformations come about and what impact did they have on their communities? Evelyne Vincent, Cultural Development Officer at the D’Autray MRC, will present examples from here and abroad and highlight the keys to the success of these projects.

– Date: Wednesday, October 15, 2025, 12 p.m.
– Guest: Evelyne Vincent, Cultural Development Officer at the D’Autray MRC
