At its annual general meeting (AGM), the D’Autray-Joliette SADC unveiled a major partnership with Lavaltrie-based Devolutions, marking a new milestone in its commitment to innovation and local entrepreneurship. The announcement was made by David Hervieux, President of Devolutions, and Richard Desjardins, President of the D’Autray-Joliette SADC, during the 2024-2025 AGM held on June 11 in Berthierville.
Thanks to this partnership, the brand new Devolutions Fund, with an initial budget of $100,000, will be made available to businesses in the D’Autray and Joliette RCMs. This fund aims to support the creation of innovative technology startups led by passionate entrepreneurs. In addition to financial support, beneficiaries will benefit from personalized support offered by SADC professionals.
Importantly, all revenue generated by the management of this fund will be retained by the SADC and reinvested directly in the D’Autray-Joliette community, benefiting regional economic development.
“Innovative ideas can generate significant economic and social benefits. Too often, they lack the necessary support to become a reality. Through this partnership with the SADC, we aim to provide them with a springboard and unleash the full potential of local innovation,” emphasized David Hervieux, President of Devolutions.
“We are delighted to be able to offer entrepreneurs in our region this new development tool. Thank you to Mr. Hervieux for his vision and commitment to our community!” added Richard Desjardins, President of the SADC de D’Autray-Joliette.
